“Is This Really Love?” is OUT NOW!

Listen Now at li.sten.to/isthisreallylove (Photo: Winish Chedi)

My new single with Marie Chain, “Is This Really Love?” is available on all platforms worldwide as of today! Written and recorded remotely between Berlin and The Hague during the first lockdown, this song deals with the pressing question of “how do we find love during the digital age?” Our songwriting process mirrored the subject matter we were dealing with, as we wrote the song mainly over WhatsApp, Facetime, and Skype. Marie and I are incredibly proud of the final product and hope you love it as much as we do! Listen now on a platform of your choice at li.sten.to/isthisreallylove and stay tuned for the official video, coming this Sunday, 14 Feb!

HY Home CD Image FINAL

And here it is, friends… my new album “A Home Is Not A Place” is available everywhere music can be heard starting today, which means you can stream it, download it, and order it on CD now at ampl.ink/aKenj.

Massive thanks to the amazing musicians who helped me bring this album to life, namely Nick Indalecio on guitar, Gidon Nunes Vaz on trumpet, Boris Oud on bass, and one of my oldest collaborators, Daryl Anderson of EBE on drums.

Thanks also to my band mates from The Cards for their cameos and support, John Czolacz from Earth Minor for flying out and jumping on, and Justin Pursey of Little Neon for his mixing expertise. This album was truly a family effort.

I’ll be shining a spotlight on each main player individually within the coming weeks on my social media pages, but for now, please enjoy the album as a whole… I hope you do.

Falling Forward

On Tour with Doro, October, 2013

On Tour with Doro, October, 2013

Well, I’m less than 24 hours home from another great tour with the Metal Queen, Doro, celebrating her 30th Anniversary in rock across Europe, this time with some of our favorite fans in Germany, The Netherlands, and Czech Republic.  It was a quick one, only 7 shows, but each were unique and great and we want to thank you all for making us feel so at home while on the road.

I’m coming back to a lot of exciting things, personally and musically.  The first of which is an almost entirely finished brand new Earth Minor album which I’ll be making some major announcements about soon.  I can’t wait to show you what we’ve been up to, and I’m very happy to say that you’ll be able to hear it soon!

And also, I’m glad to have one final show booked this year on American soil before I take off with Doro again in December.  The Harrison Young Quartet will make our triumphant return to the beautiful Hat City Kitchen in NJ on Saturday, November 23 at 8pm.  Check out the shows page or http://www.hatcitykitchen.com for all the details.  We hope to see you there!

Ok – time to get offline and back into the studio to continue mixing the new EM stuff.  Talk to you soon and Happy Fall!  -HY
